Title:
CELLULOSE ESTER SOLUTION AND PRODUCTION OF MOLDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3391586
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to use a halogen-free solvent as the poor solvent, to heighten the efficiency of solvent removal and to obtain a molding at good efficiency by using a cellulose ester solution containing a cellulose ester and a fluoroalcohol as a good solvent therefor.
CONSTITUTION: The average degree of substitution of the cellulose ester is 1-3, and the average degree of polymerization is 200-800. A desirable example of the ester is an aliphatic organic acid ester especially cellulose acetate. The degree of acetylation of this ester is 43-62%. The fluoroalcohol has 2-10 carbon atoms and has a fluorine atom at position α. An example of this fluoroalcohol is trifluoroethanol. The boiling point of the fluororalcohol is 90°C or below, desirably 80°C or below because the solvent can be removed at good efficiency and the efficiency of production of a molding can be heightened. As the poor solvent, a halogen-free solvent having a boiling point of 80°C or below (e.g. an alcohol, a ketone or an ester) is used. The ratio of the good solvent to the poor solvent is 30/70 to 95/5 by weight.
