Abstract:

To provide a cellulose fiber which is excellent in loosening and further excellent in transparency when composed with resin, and hardly causes a trouble of coloring in heating.

In the cellulose fiber, some of the hydroxyl groups of the cellulose are substituted with carboxyl and/or formyl in an amount of 0.1 mmol/g or more relative to the weight of the cellulose fiber, and are further substituted with a chemically modifying group other than carboxyl and formyl. The carboxyl and/or formyl is preferably introduced by oxidation treatment. The chemically modifying group is preferably acyl and/or alkyl.
