Abstract:
To provide a production method in which a cellulose particle having a high degree of sphericity can easily be produced, and to provide a cellulose particle having high sphericity and small pore volume.SOLUTION: Provided are [1] a method for producing cellulose particle that includes a step in which a water-in-oil type emulsion containing cellulose and an alcohol having an octanol/water distribution coefficient ClogP of 0.5 or more are mixed and the cellulose is precipitated to yield a cellulose particle, and [2] a cellulose particle in which the sphericity is 0.80 or more and the pore volume is 0.3 mL/g or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
