To improve a cellulose product such as paper or paper board product having a barrier coating layer to water vapor, oil, grease, solvent and water.
The cellulose product has a polymer coating layer to impart the product with barrierness. The polymer coating layer contains an ethylene-vinyl acetate polymer containing a crystalline ethylene segment and produced by the emulsion polymerization of ethylene and vinyl acetate in the presence of a stabilization system composed essentially of a surfactant or a protective colloid combined with the surfactant. The ethylene-vinyl acetate polymer has (a) a crystal melting point of 35-110°C measured under a heating rate of 20°C/min and (b) tensile storage modulus of ≥1×105 dyne/cm2 at 115°C measured at a measurement frequency of 6.28 rad/sec.
