Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulosic material that can be suitably used for manufacturing a member excellent in strength or the like while having characteristics of cellulose, and to provide a member (cellulosic member) excellent in strength or the like while having characteristics of cellulose.SOLUTION: The cellulosic material of the present invention comprises a cellulose derivative; and the cellulose derivative includes a liquid crystalline functional group. Moreover, the cellulose derivative preferably includes a reactive functional group that can bond molecular chains of the cellulose derivative by a covalent bond.SELECTED DRAWING: None
