To obtain a cement composition excellent in fluidity, kneadablity and mechanical strength developablity, and also capable of suppressing the temperature rise through suppressing heat of hydration when hardened, by including each specific amount of silica fume and high-belite-based Portland cement specific in the belite level in the clinker mineral composition and Blaine value.
This cement composition comprises 85-93 pts.wt. of high-belite- based Portland cement 45-55 wt.% in the belite level in the clinker mineral composition and 3,200-3,800 cm2/g in Blaine value and 7-15 pts.wt. of silica fume in the form of a 0.03 wt.% aqueous dispersion (pref. ≥30 (esp. ≥50) wt.% in the proportion of the silica fume ≤1 μm in particle size in the total silica fume in the aqueous dispersion subjected to 150 W ultrasonic waves for 12.5 min). This composition is useful for high-strength concrete for thick-walled large-scale structures.
