To arrange cast-in inserts of cemented carbide to a plurality of surfaces of a wear resistant member without fail in an appropriately distributed manner irrespective of flat or curved surfaces, and irrespective of any directions such as upward, downward, horizontal, or diagonal direction.
A hole part 52 (62) is pierced in a pattern surface 51 (61) of a pattern 5 (6) of upper and lower dies, a columnar cast-in insert part 41 made of cemented carbide metal and of approximately same diameter of the hole part is fitted therein, a neck part 42 of small diameter and a locking part 43 are embedded in the casting sand S and fixed as the sand is hardened. After releasing, only the projected cast-in insert part is surrounded by the molten metal and deposited, while the neck part and the locking part left in the mold is released by breaking the sand when the mold is opened. When a core print and a core are applied, a plurality of abrasive surfaces are reinforced irrespective of flat or curved surfaces, and irrespective of any direction such as upward, downward, horizontal and diagonal direction, and the period of dunability of the wear resistant member can be improved several times.
