Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance production efficiency of a center binding booklet, by executing operation up to center binding folding by one process after printing.SOLUTION: A folding machine 2 and a center binding machine 3 are connected by a connection unit 4. Before starting the operation, a lapsed time up to detecting a signature P3 by a sensor 6 arranged in a predetermined position from a start of paper feeding operation by a paper feeder 1 is measured, and the timing for synchronizing operation of the center binding machine and a series of operation of reaching supply of the signature by a connection unit from paper feeding by the paper feeder is calculated based on a measured value, and its timing value is stored in a memory, and after starting the operation, every time when a count value of a rotary encoder 7 provided in the center binding machine coincides with a timing value stored in the memory, a paper feeding operation starting command is sent out to the paper feeder so that the paper feeder, the folding machine and the center binding machine are continuously operated.
