To provide a center pillar connection structure increasing lateral rigidity of a vehicle body without any great change in a center pillar structure for improving safety and causing no disturbance in deformation of the vehicle body against a shock applied from the lateral side of the body.
In this center pillar connection structure, an outer panel member and a reinforcing member are connected together while the reinforcing member is inserted inward in the vehicle interior direction of the outer panel member constituting the center pillar of an automobile. In the outer panel member and the reinforcing member each formed so as to be provided with a central part protruded along the vertical direction toward the vehicle exterior side by a predetermined distance and left and right side parts bent integrally while putting the central part between them laterally, a recess part formed by denting a part of the central part by a predetermined distance toward the vehicle interior side is formed in a predetermined position along the vertical direction in the central part of the outer panel member, and the recess part and the central part of the reinforcing member are welded together while the projection face of the recess part projected to the vehicle interior side is brought into contact with the central part of the reinforcing member.
