Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the center stand device for the form rolling machine, by which a distance between centers is automatically moved so that it corresponds to the length of a work even when the length of the work is changed, the work is automatically clamped, and the work is moved to a form rolling position.
SOLUTION: The center stand device has servomotor 12 moving an operation center stand 5, energizing devices 20, 22 and 23 energizing so that a rearward center stand 15 is placed in its home position, and home position switch 24 detecting the home position of the rearward center stand 15. By the drive of the servomotor 12, the operation center stand 5 is moved toward the work W, the work W is supported by the operation center stand 5 and the rearward center stand 15, and the rearward center stand 15 is moved from the home position through the work W. It is detected by the home position switch 24 that the rearward center stand 15 is moved from the home position, and clamping the work W is confirmed.
