Abstract:
To provide a centering device for a shaft-like material with a cutting edge which can precisely position a material to be measured even when fed by a robot hand or the like.
A plurality of steel balls 24 are provided annularly in a rest part 20. Between the balls 24 tips (cutting edge) 17A and 17B of a material to be measured 17 are pinched. Thereby the cutting edges 17A and 17B can be easily moved in a direction to approach a center line m-m. Since each steel ball 24 pinches each side of the cutting edge 17A and 17B with equal pinching force, an axis of the material to be measured 17 can be precisely positioned at the center line m-m of the centering device.
