To provide a centering guide device for columnar or cylindrical long objects capable of precisely centering the objects all the time without deforming them and generating external damages.
The centering guide device consists of a pair of approachable/separable parallel first guide rolls 11a, 11b and a pair of approachable/separable parallel second guide rolls 12a, 12b orthogonal to the first guide rolls 11a, 11b on a parallel face, and connects the first guide rolls 11a, 11b with the second guide rolls 12a, 12b by a transmission mechanism 13 synchronously making an expanding/contracting operation. The transmission mechanism 13 is comprised of a first feed screw 14, such as a longitudinal feed screw, approaching/separating the first guide rolls 11a, 11b, a second feed screw 15, such as a longitudinal feed screw, approaching/separating the second guide rolls 12a, 12b, and a gear mechanism 16 connecting the first feed screw 14 with the second feed screw 15.
