Title:
CENTERLESS GRINDING METHOD OF WORK WITH STEP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2654301
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To cut off a cutting remainder generated near the step of a work easily, by feeding transverse the work adequately, when a work with a step is ground centerlessly by using a grinding stone for a larger diameter part and a grinding wheel for a smaller diameter part whose convergences are controlled independently respectively.
CONSTITUTION: When a work 1 with a step is ground, the work 1 is inserted to a fixed position from the direction j by an inserting arm 15, and then, a grinding wheel 7 for a larger diameter part and a regulating grinding stone 9 are used to start an infield grinding at first. The feeding angle of the regulating grinding stone 9 is made about 1°, and a relatively large feeding force to the left side can be obtained, and this feeding force is received by the inserting arm 15 initially so as to put the work 1 in a still condition. And following the progress of the grinding, the regulating grinding stone 9 is cut in in the direction k, together with a shoe 10, so as to grind a larger diameter part 1a, and after that, a grinding stone 8 for a small diameter part grinding is cut in in the direction m so as to carry out the grinding of the small diameter part 1b. A cutting remainder 1d generated by such a cutting is ground and removed by feeding the work 1 to the left side following the moving-back of the inserting arm 15.
