Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve information processing and to control suitable for the operating state of a computer, by always informing the operating state of the computer from the computer itself to its peripheral devices. CONSTITUTION:In a direct memory access DMA area 10 of a main storage device 3, a counter 11 which is periodically counted up with a managing program of a computer 1, a counter 12 which is counted up with a functional program and a counter 13 which is counted up with other functions, are provided. A master station remote monitor controller 5 reads and monitors counters 11-13 with a DMA device 4. If the counter values of them stop after the operation over a specified time, it is discriminated that the computer 1 is in failure, and the nonselection control information and the stop information for adjustment and control and the like are transmitted to slave station remote devices 7 and 8 depending which counter stops.
