Abstract:
PURPOSE:To quicken the changeover of a computer by using an input/output processing unit independently of the computer for the changeover of the computer in the decentralized type control system. CONSTITUTION:An input/output processing unit 500 outputs a signal 537 nearly simultaneously when a computer (assumed to be a central supervisory computer 10) applying fault diagnosis to a process control computer 30 gives a computer switching signal. When the signal 537 is outputted, a signal switching device 525 in an input processing section 520 and a signal switching device 515 in an output processing section 510 are activated, a communication changeover device 539 in a communication control section 530 stops the communication with the process control computer 30, makes communication with an input processing section 520 and an output processing section 510 via an interface converter 600 to switch the control from the process control computer 30 into the central supervisory computer 10. Thus, the computer is switched before the inside of the computer applies signal processing, then the computer is switched at a high speed.
