To provide a centrifugal clutch having long life and very high durability, as compared with a conventional centrifugal clutch for a rammer.
The centrifugal clutch includes a hub 1, a plurality of clutch shoes 2 which is annularly arranged around the hub 1 with the hub as the center, a ring-shaped spring 3 which binds the clutch shoes 2 and urges them in an inner side direction, and a side plate 4 which regulates the lateral movement of the clutch shoes 2, and on a periphery of an opening peripheral edge 2f of a recessed groove 2b on an opposed surface 2d of an adjacent clutch shoe 2, a step part 2e is formed which has a shape recessed to the inside by a predetermined amount than the opposed surface 2d, so that a separation dimension between the opening peripheral edges 2f of the adjacent clutch shoes 2 is configured to be larger than a separation dimension between the opposed surfaces 2d.
