To provide a highly efficient centrifugal compressor for a turbo refrigerating machine and a refrigeration equipment with wide operating range in various flow volume conditions.
The centrifugal compressor of the refrigeration equipment is provided with several stages of impeller 9, a diffuser with vanes 10 and a vaneless diffuser 19 positioned on the outer periphery of each impeller 9, and a return flow path 11 which connects the diffuser with vane 10 and the impeller 9 on the back stage. Several movable downstream guide vanes 13 are positioned in the circumferential direction of the return flow path 11 which leads to the impeller 9 on the last stage, and the diffuser on the last stage is composed of the vaneless diffuser 19 in which a diffuser vane is installed.
