PURPOSE: To achieve minus torque control as fast as possible so as to increase fuel supply and eliminate the generation of block smoke in full-load operation by determining the distance between a fly weight and a Belleville spring when a centrifugal governor is at a standstill.
CONSTITUTION: A radially arranged flyweight 8 of a centrifugal governor 100 is moved outwardly against bias of springs 5, 6 by the centrifugal force of rotation of a drive shaft 1. The movement is transferred to a torque control sleeve 18 supported in a control capsule 31 via an angle lever 14. A fuel adjustment rod 37 is moved by the movement of the sleeve 18 via an adjustment lever 35 and a coupling link 36 to adjust fuel injection. In this case, the distance m between the flyweight 8 and a Belleville spring 13 supporting one end of a coil spring 6 is greater than the distance 1 between an end face 28 of the control capsule 31 and a stopper 29 when the centrifugal governor is at a standstill. Thus, it is possible to achieve minus torque control as fast as possible.
