Abstract:
To provide a pump casing which can prevent foreign objects from remaining on a tongue part without deteriorating pump efficiency.SOLUTION: A pump casing 30 is a pump casing for a vortex pump which houses an impeller 41. The pump casing 30 includes: a volute part 33 which forms a volute chamber 33A around the impeller 41; a discharge port 42a communicating with the volute chamber 33: and a discharge pipe 34 formed with a discharge passage 34A which connects the volute chamber 33A with the discharge port 42a. On an inner surface of the discharge pipe 34, at least one straightening groove 20 extending along a longitudinal direction of the discharge pipe 34 is formed on at least a part of the discharge pipe 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
