To provide a centrifugal pump in which unpredicted vibration generated in the axial direction of a spindle is effectively reduced.
A thrust collar 20 fixed to the spindle 2 as a thrust bearing mechanism is held in a rear side bearing box 15 formed integrally with a casing. A thrust bearing 21 held by a carrier ring 22 finely movably in the axial direction is disposed in the bearing box 15. A ring 22 is biased by a disc spring 24 between a disk-like liner 23 fixed thereto and an annular member 25 fixed to the bearing box 15. The disc spring 24 is stored in a space 40 formed by the inner surface of the liner 23, the inner surface of the tubular member 25, the outer peripheral surface of a second tubular projected part 25a, and the inner peripheral surface of a third tubular projected part 25b. The internal volume of the space 40 is changed due to the fine movement by the axial vibration of the spindle 2. A passage formed of a first fine clearance 41 between the inner peripheral surface of a first tubular projected part 23a and the outer peripheral surface of a third tubular projected part 25b communicates with the space 40 and is filled with a lubricating oil.
