Title:
CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATION CONTAINER, ADAPTER FOR RETAINING POSITION OF CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATION CONTAINER AND CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATION IMPLEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011125813
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a centrifugal separation container which can separate and clean cells in sterile fashion from a cell suspension, using a disposable container available at a low cost for general-purpose facilities, and is further suitable for adopting a closed system, as well as an adapter for retaining the position of the centrifugal separation container and a centrifugal separation implement.

The centrifugal separation container is set at a centrifuge through the adapter for retaining the position of the centrifugal separation container, comprises a container body with a closed internal space capable of accommodating a material to be centrifuged and a port capable of making the internal space communicate with the outside. The container body is made up of a first accommodation part with a large volume and a second accommodation part which communicates with the first accommodation part and is a relatively smaller volume accommodating a centrifuged sediment. The port has an opening on the first accommodation part side, and also has pliable container walls at the border part between the first accommodation part and the second accommodation part or near the border part. Thus, the opposite container walls are made to adhere to each other at or near the border part, and in turn, the second accommodation part and the opening part of the port can be isolated from each other so that these parts are switched to their mutual non-communication state.
