Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator of a juicer that can generate clear juice even if the positioning mechanism of a blocking section for selectively generating clear juice and juice containing fibers fails to work properly.
SOLUTION: A discharge opening discharging fibers of an ingredient grated is provided in the lower portion of a centrifugal separation basket 39. Protrusions 51 protruding to an adjustment ring 40 engaging with the centrifugal separation basket 39 are provided in the outside periphery of the lower portion of the centrifugal basket 39. A protrusion capable of opening and closing the discharge opening is provided in the adjustment ring 40 and elastic-deforming engagement pieces 56 having a recess that can engage with and disengage from the protrusions 51 are provided, extended in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the centrifugal separation basket 39. The protrusions 51 block the discharge opening when engaging with the recess 58, and open the discharge opening when engaging with the recesses 59 and 60. When the engagement pieces 56 fail to position to and engage with the centrifugal separator basket 39, the adjustment ring 40 relatively rotates in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation (direction of an arrow A) of the centrifugal separation basket 39 and blocks the discharge opening, thereby providing clear juice.
