To uniformly distribute laundry in a rotary drum 11, to automatically remove the laundry therefrom and to automatically discharge it by improving a centrifugal spin dryer installed in a continuous washing facility.

This centrifugal dryer is so constituted that a screw conveyer 12 is disposed in the rotary drum 11 concentrically therewith, and the rotary drum 11 and the screw conveyer 12 are mutually independently and rotatingly driven. When the screw conveyer 12 is normally and inversely rotated and reciprocatingly feeds the laundry as indicated by an arrow (c) and an arrow (d), the laundry in the rotary drum is uniformly distributed and the laundry stuck to the internal circumferential face of the rotary drum is removed. When the screw conveyer 12 is normally rotated, the laundry is discharged as indicated by an arrow (b).
