NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [R1 represents (protected) amino; R2 represents (protected) carboxy or lower alkanoyl; R3 represents (protected) carboxy or COO-; R4 represents lower alkenyl, heterocyclic thio-lower alkyl, H or heteronio lower alkyl, provided that R3 represents (protected) carboxy when R4 represents lower alkenyl, H, etc., and R3 represents COO- or protected carboxy when R4 represents heteronio lower alkyl].
EXAMPLE: 7-{2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-[(E)-2- ethoxycarbonylvinyloxyimino]acetamide}-3-vinyl-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid (syn isomer).
USE: A preventive and remedy for microbism.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula II is reacted with a compound expressed by the formula CH≡CR2 to form a compound expressed by formula III, which is then subjected to a protection reaction of amino group, and, after deprotecting a carboxy-protecting group, reacted with a compound expressed by formula IV.
