Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a ceramic bearing from being broken by applying compressive load to outer diameter and both end portions of the ceramic bearing.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramic bearing 1 is shrink fitted to a bearing back metal 2 that is made a little smaller than outer diameter of the ceramic bearing and a little shorter than the length of the ceramic bearing for applying compressive load, and compressive load is applied to both ends of the ceramic bearing 1 with a plate 3. When the ceramic bearing 1 is applied with single end working load, the ceramic bearing 1 is not acted with shearing force or tensile load as before but acted with only compressive load, therefore the ceramic bearing 1 can be prevented from breaking.
