Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the bondability with abrasive grains at low temp. and to obtain a super abrasive grain grindstone excellent in grindability and wear resistance by forming a ceramic bonding agent for grindstone by a dry gel contg. B2O3.
CONSTITUTION: A ceramic bonding material is formed by the dry gel with SiO2, Al2O3, Li2O, B2O3 and ZrO2 as the components and the grain size of this dry gel is taken ≤0.1μm. The bonding agent consisting of the dry gel contg. B2O3 is strongly bonded with super abrasive grains at low temp. and a super abrasive grain grindstone excellent in grindability and wear resistance is obtd.
