Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which can raise burning efficiency and can reduce hazardous constituents in an exhaust gas by a method wherein flame- resisting constituents and environmental contaminant which are contained in various kinds of fluid fuels are modified to combustible constituents, and oxygen in air contained in the fuel is activated.
SOLUTION: A ceramic catalyst for modification of liquid fuel is composed of a center layer 2 consisting of multiple oxide ceramic of transition metals, an intermediate layer 3 consisting of alumina silicate ceramic covering the outside of the center layer 2, and an outer layer 4 consisting of ceramic containing noble metal alloy covering the outside of the intermediate layer 3.
