Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable re-utilization by polishing even when the life limitation is exceeded by forming a recessed part for positioning on the intermediate part of a corner line of a V shape groove receiving surface.
CONSTITUTION: A recessed part 16 for positioning is formed on the intermediate part of a corner line 7 of a V shape groove receiving surface 3 of a tool main body 4. Centering at the time of polishing is thus carried out easily and accurately. The V shape groove receiving surface 3 formed on the tool main body 4 is fitted together so that the recessed part 16 for positioning is superimposed on a protruded part 27 for positioning, and positioning and centering of them are carried out. The tool main body 4 is fixed so that it is not easily rotated in an eccentric manner by placing a receiving rod 26 in the proximity to an end surface support rod 29, and whereby supporting the end surface of the tool main body 4 of a ceramic cutting tool with a supporting surface 28 of the end surface support rod 29. When the tool main body 4 is thus fixed, the tool main body 4 is polished by rotating the receiving rod 26 and the end surface support rod 29 together, and by placing a grinding wheel thereon.
