Abstract:

To provide a new electrode structure suitably usable for the electrode of an electrochemical reactor.

In this electrode structure of the electrochemical reactor capable of expediting and controlling electrochemical reaction, a catalyst electrode is formed on the surface of a solid electrolyte ceramic material formed into a porous body while maintaining an electrical and ion-conductive network structure. The electrode is formed by combining oxygen ion conductor ceramic such as oxidized zirconia, cerium oxide, an electrode material such as platinum, and a catalyst material such as calcium aluminate and nickel oxide, and by control of structure thereof, electrochemical reactivity of the electrochemical ceramic reactor can be enhanced.
