PURPOSE: To reduce the operation expense by washing a filter element from the direction reverse to the filtering direction through washing water in a filter container, and then drying the element by passing through dry air and lowering the replacement frequency of the element.
CONSTITUTION: In a ceramic filter device used for removing dust in gas, a means 3 for feeding washing water and a means 4 for feeding air for drying are added to a filter container 1 provided with an inlet 11 and an outlet 12 for gas and also with a candle type filter element 2. Said washing water feeding means 3 and the air feeding means 4 are provided with pipings to feed the washing water and air from the direction reverse to the filtering direction of the element 2, and a drain 14 and an exhaust pipe 15 for discharging the washing water and discharging the air passed through the element 2 are provided in the filter container 1. As a result, the replacement frequency of the element is lowered, and the running cost of the filter device is reduced and the quantity of secondary waste is also reduced.
