Abstract:
To provide a ceramic filter capable of easily suppressing fusion of the filter by residual ash accumulating after burning collected particulates without using a large-scaled system or the like.
This ceramic filter is provided for collecting particulates in exhaust gas discharged form a Diesel engine. A ceramic grain layer comprising heat-resistant ceramic grains is coated on the surface of the filter, and a BET specific surface area of the heat-resistant ceramic grain is 300 m2/g or less.
