Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic flow path body produced by joining a silicon carbide sintered compact to each other, the silicon carbide sintered compacts having excellent durability, corrosion resistance and airtightness, and to provide a heat exchanger with the ceramic flow path body.SOLUTION: A ceramic flow path body comprises a silicon carbide sintered compact in which the first and second members 1 and 2 concurrently having through-holes are joined via a joint layer 3, and continuance of the through-holes is made to be the flow path 4 of a fluid. The flow path body has a first area 5 comprising silicon carbide as a main component and a second area 6 comprising metallic silicon as the main component in the cross section of the joint layer 3 in view of a fluid flow direction. Either one of the first area 5 or the second area 6 positions at the side of the flow path 4, and the other surrounds the former at an outer peripheral side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
