PURPOSE: To reduce flow rate of working fluid appropriately and reduce thermal stress of a ceramic member by a method wherein when a gas turbine suddenly stops, a passage area of an air flow path from a compressor to a combustor is reduced and at the same time an opening communicating with outside an instrument is opened.
CONSTITUTION: Air compressed by a compressor 1 is supplied to a combustor 2. Fuel is injected from a fuel nozzle 3 and burned in the combustor 2. Burned gas is further supplied via a stationary blade 4 to a moving blade 5 to generate power. At least one of the combustor 2, the stationary blade 4 and the moving blade 5 is made of ceramic. In this constitution, fuel is cut when a gas turbine suddenly stops. At the same time, a combustor flow rate adjusting valve 6 is closed and an adjusting valve 9 which communicates with an exhaust hole 8 outside an instrument is opened. This decreases an amount of working fluid flowing in the turbine and lowers thermal stress of the ceramic member, preventing damage.
