To solve problems such that materials having an electromagnetic effect are few, an electromagnetic effect is attained only by an amorphous and a thin film, and a ceramic material obtained by a simple manufacturing method is expected for an actual application, although an electromagnetic effect is expected to be applied to electronic devices such as a memory and a sensor since the effect is simultaneously generated while an electric property and an magnetic property are mutually related.
In a ceramic material represented by the formula RFe0.56Ti0.44O3, an electromagnetic effect was obtained even at room temperature by substituting R by Lu or Yb. Since this material can be obtained by using powder obtained by a conventional solid reaction method, its manufacturing and handling are easy.
