PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramic oscillator with small size and ease of chip forming by pressing and holding the center of a piezoelectric ceramic oscillator in the polarization direction, providing a case storing the piezoelectric ceramic in a throughhole and inserting a metallic cap via a conductive elastic body.

CONSTITUTION: Electrodes 10, 10' are provided at both end faces in the length- wise direction and the midpoint of the cylindrical piezoelectric ceramic oscillator 9 applied with polarization is pressed and held between both the electrodes 10, 10' by using a support 11. Then metallic caps 15, 15' are inserted and fixed at both sides of the case opening via a conductive rubber 14 to one case opening while being stored in a case 13 having a throughhole 12. Thus, the ceramic oscillator with small size and ease of chip forming in several hundreds kHz band is manufactured easily.
