Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a disk-like piezoelectric substrate have an ideal resonance characteristic having no undesired vibration, by setting its roundness rate (roundness/substrate diameter to 2 × radial method) within a specified range.

CONSTITUTION: A roundness rate showing an external deformation degree of a ceramic piezoelectric element is decided within a range extending from 0.0005 to 0.0015. According to this constitution, it is possible to obtain a ceramic piezoelectric element which has no undesired vibration, also scarcely causes a working distortion, and prospers enough mechanical strength of a piezoelectric material. In this regard, as for magnitude of the undesired vibration, its magnitude becomes small as the roundness rate becomes small. In this way, the undesired vibration can be eliminated by reducing the external deformation degree (roundness rate) of the ceramic piezoelectric element, and its upper limit value is 0.0015.
