Abstract:
To provide a ceramic porous body which is suitable for cleaning and aerating water, especially as a water cleaning material for a fish-farming pond.
The ceramic porous body is a porous molded body prepared by subjecting a basis material comprising refractory aggregate and a foaming material to extrusion molding, drying, and firing. The refractory aggregate mainly comprises silica stone, and the foaming material is a crushed polystyrene foam being particles prepared by crushing waste polystyrene foam blocks. By enhancing the adsorption performance of the ceramic porous body by causing it to carry carbon, the water cleaning performance of the ceramic porous body is enhanced.
