Abstract:
PURPOSE: To assure always smooth sliding of a piston without hindering the movement of the piston by the molten metal which leaks toward the upper side of the piston and is held solidified.
CONSTITUTION: The ceramic pump for a molten nonferrous metal is constituted by forming the top end of the piston 8 to be freely vertically slidably fitted into a cylinder 7 on a slope S and disposing a molten metal discharge port 20 for discharging the molten metal leaking out upper than the piston 8 to the outside of the cylinder within the sliding area at the bottom end of the slope S on the side wall of the cylinder.
