Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic roll using a roll having a ceramic layer provided on the surface thereof and constituted so as not to accumulate static electricity on a roll surface.
SOLUTION: A rear roll (2) which has the ceramic layer on the surface thereof, an intermediate roll (3) and a front roll (4) are provided in a roll mill main body (1). A discharge electrode (6a) is provided along the axial direction of the roll to the region under the rear part from the center of the rear roll (2). Further, a discharge electrode (6b) is provided along an axial direction above the center of the roll between the intermediate roll (3) and the front roll (4). When a treatment material is treated by driving the respective rolls, the charge applied to a ceramic surface is neutralized by ions generated by corona discharge from the discharge electrodes and the accumulation thereof is prevented.
