Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic roller manufacturing method and a green compact forming apparatus capable of achieving the reduction of manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method comprises a step (S30) for molding starting material powder of ceramics and obtaining a green compact; a step (S40) for sintering the green compact; and a step (S50) for polishing a sintered body obtained in the sintering step (S40). In the step (S30) for obtaining the green compact, obtained is the green compact having first and second end surfaces facing each other and an outer circumferential surface connecting the first and second end surfaces, the outer circumferential surface protruding outward. The shape of the outer circumferential surface is determined in light of a shape change that occurs when the green compact is sintered to obtain the sintered body in the sintering step (S40).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
