PURPOSE: To provide a ceramic sheet shape resistance heating element by which surface temperature distribution becomes uniform and responsiveness to a temperature rise and a drop becomes excellent and which has excellent abrasion resistance when a material to be heated is heated while contacting directly with it.
CONSTITUTION: Thermal spraying of an aluminium oxide insulating coat 2 is carried out on a heating plate body 1 composed of 18-8 stainless steel being a base material, and thermal spraying of a material composed of aluminium oxide containing titanium oxide of 30 to 50 weight% is carried out on it in thickness of 20 to 300μm, and a ceramic surface shape resistance heating element 3 is formed. Electrodes 5 are arranged on both end parts of this heating element 3, and a lower surface heating plate is formed. A temperature controller 6 and a variable resistor 7 and the like are added to a heating plate.
