Abstract:
PURPOSE: To elongate the life in a burring tool to expand a small diameter hole opened in advance on a metallic material to be worked and to form a flange and to elongate the lives of a metallic receiving jig and a metallic pressure jig clamping this burring tool.
CONSTITUTION: The material of ceramic tool 1 consists of ≥80wt.% silicon nitride and a balance which is made up of formed and sintered ceramic material of a mixture made up of aluminum oxide and/or aluminum nitride and one or more kinds of rare earth element oxides.
