Abstract:
To obtain a ceramics-metal composite material extremely in high thermal conductivity and excellent in heat radiability.
The ceramics-metal composite material is provided with hard particles 11 consisting of at least one kind selected from diamond and SiC, and a metal matrix 12. Carbon nanotubes 13 are allowed to exist on the boundary layers 3 between the hard particles 11 and the metal matrix 12. The carbon nanotubes 13 exist in such a manner that the longitudinal direction thereof is made almost vertical to the surfaces 11a of the hard particles 11, and, preferably, one end 13a of each carbon nanotube 13 and the surface 11a of each hard particle 11 are joined.
