Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the durability of a joining part by taking the component composition of contg. at the specified % the active metal selected from the group of the Ag and Si of the specified wt.%, Mg, Ti, Zr, Nb, Ce, Ca, Ba, Li and La, and the balance Sn.

CONSTITUTION: The component composition of a joining material 3 is composed of 20W60% Ag, 0.01W10% active metal in wt.% and the balance Sn component. As the active metal at least ≥ one kind are used by selecting from the element group consisting of Si, Mg, Ti, Zr, Nb, Ce, Ca, Ba, Li and La. Due to Ag-Sn being taken as the basic composition contg. no Al in the component composition, the corrosion resistance of the joining material is improved. Sn is of soft metal and relaxes the internal stress of the joining part of a ceramic 1 and joining metal 2. The durability of the joining part of the ceramics 1 and metal 2 is thus improved because the corrosion resistance of the joining part by a joining material 3 is improved.
