Abstract:
PURPOSE: To secure a smooth sliding of a piston by providing a clearance to slide a cylinder and a piston easily, but preventing a leaking of a molten metal toward the upper side of the piston passing through the clearance as much as possible, and furthermore, dealing with the problem of accumulating and stiffening the leaked molten metal at the upper part of the piston.
CONSTITUTION: On the outer circumferential surface of a piston 8 in a ceramics pump 1 for molten metal of a non-ferrous metal which has a cylinder 7 and the piston 8 fitting slidable to the cylinder 7, an uneven part R is formed along the circumference of the piston 8.
