Abstract:
To provide a chabazite type zeolite having high heat resistance without having a large crystal diameter, and a catalyst including such a chabazite type zeolite and showing high nitrogen oxide reduction characteristics, especially, in a low temperature range less than 200°C even after exposure to high temperature and high humidity.SOLUTION: In the chabazite type zeolite, a molar ratio of silica to alumina is 15 or more; a molar ratio of a silanol group to silicon is 1.6×10-2 or less; the average crystal diameter is 0.5 μm or more and less than 1.5 μm; and a 50% volume diameter to a 10% volume diameter is 3.2 or less. The chabazite type zeolite preferably includes at least one of copper and iron.SELECTED DRAWING: None
