Abstract:
To provide a chain guide which has high strength and low sliding resistance in a surface thereof that comes in contact with a chain, is resistant to abrasion even if the chain traveling at high speed comes in contact therewith, and is reduced in noise and vibration, and a chain tensioner device using the same.
A roller 12 that comes in contact with the chain 1 is configured by: a support shaft 13 supported by opposing side plate members 9 disposed along the travel direction of the chain 1; and a needle roller bearing having an outer ring 12a disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the support shaft 13. A damping layer 12e is provided on a contact surface with the outer ring 12a.
