Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a phenomenon in which a top part of a chain link moves onto a top part of a tooth of a pinion sprocket.SOLUTION: A chain and pinion sprocket comprises: a chain 4 formed by coupling chain links 61 having teeth 611, each consisting of a top part 611a and a bottom part 611b, formed; and a pinion sprocket 30 having teeth, consisting of a top part 311a and a bottom part 311b, formed. Respective teeth 611 and 311 of the chain links 61 and the pinion sprocket 30 have: inclined surfaces 611s, 311s formed from a peak of the top part to both sides thereof so as to guide the top parts 611a, 311a to enter bottom parts 311b, 611b; and power transmission surfaces 611d, 311d formed more on bottom part sides than the inclined surfaces, the inclined surfaces 611s, 311s being formed to have an angle θ of inclination larger than a predetermined angle θ.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
