Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-operability chain saw using a plurality of high-versatility battery packs.SOLUTION: A chain saw 10 is provided with: a main body casing 11; a guide bar 21 provided protrudingly from the main body casing 11; a saw chain 22 rotatably installed on the peripheral part of the guide bar 21; an electric motor 23 rotating the saw chain 22; and a top handle 12 extending in a cross direction at the upper part of the main body casing 11. Plural battery packs 31 are installed to the main body casing 11 as a power source 30 for feeding to the electric motor 23, and the battery packs 31 are arranged in the main body casing 11 so that a barycentric position G when viewing the chain saw 10 from a rear side is located in the range R of twofold of the horizontal length W of a grip part 12a from a horizontal center line Cw extending in a vertical direction of the grip part 12a of the top handle 12.
