Abstract:
To provide a technique for a chain saw capable of preventing an outer shell part from being high temperature due to heat transmission from a guide bar.SOLUTION: The specification discloses a chain saw. The chain saw may be provided with: a saw chain; a guide bar on which the saw chain is attached; a sprocket making the saw chain travel along the circumference of the guide bar; a motor provided with an output shaft connected with the sprocket; a cooling fan connected on the output shaft; and a base member holding the guide bar. The base member may be made from heat conductive material with a heat conductivity equal to 10 W/m K or more when the temperature is at 300K. The base member may be provided with a plate part placed opposite to the motor in a direction along the output shaft and a lib part projecting from the plate part to the motor side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
